SUPPORT TO LOCAL SELF-GOVERNMENTS

With the support of the Government of Switzerland, the Programme "PRO - Local Governance for People and Nature" will, through a Public Call, support 20 local self-governments (LSGs) in implementation of environmental protection projects defined in local environmental protection documents, as well as those resulting from identified nature-based solutions.

The approximate budget is USD 300,000, while the maximum amount per project is USD 15,000.

Thematic areas include the implementation of local policies and measures, support for nature-based initiatives, greater transparency and public participation in decision-making, promotional campaigns and capacity building, as well as the introduction of innovative practices: renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, etc.

The implementation of activities within the proposed interventions will last for a maximum of 12 months, with a mandatory partnership with a civil society organization.

The public call is organized through a transparent and competitive process, and the selection of the users of support will be made by evaluating and ranking the submitted project proposals. In order for interested LSGs to learn all the details of the public call - including how to apply, project selection criteria and allowed costs, the PRO Programme will organize two informative sessions via the Internet according to the following schedule:

The link for the online informative sessions will also be submitted to with the notification letter on the announced Public Call, and access is available via the PRO Programme website - www.pro.org.rs
