TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO LOCAL SELF-GOVERNMENTS

With Swiss Government support, the Joint UN Programme "PRO - Local Governance for People and Nature" has published a public call through which it will provide technical assistance for up to 30 local self-governments from Šumadija, West, East and South Serbia to strengthen the capacities of local stakeholders to implement evidence-based social protection policies and practices at the local level, focusing on the priorities and needs of vulnerable groups.

The implementation of activities within the technical assistance will go on for 18 months, and all costs will be borne by the Programme.

The aim of this public call is to contribute to the establishment of social protection services system in supported towns and municipalities, more responsive to the priorities and needs of citizens and more integrated.

The public call is organised through a competitive process, and the selection of beneficiaries will be done through an evaluation and ranking of the submitted applications. More on the process and criteria for the selection of beneficiaries can be found in the Public Call Description and Criteria.

This public call represent the first phase of a broader Programme intervention, which will include, in the second phase, also publishing Call for Proposals to award grants.
