Guide for Creating Foster Care Campaigns in Local Communities Published

As part of the “PRO - Local Governance for People and Nature” program, a Guide for Creating, Implementing, and Evaluating Foster Care Campaigns in Local Communities has been published.

This resource is designed for professionals supporting foster families, helping them to raise awareness, sensitise communities, and encourage new families to engage in foster care.

The guide is based on years of expertise in the field and provides a practical framework for planning, designing, executing, and monitoring local campaigns to promote foster care. It brings together best practices, positive experiences, and innovative approaches that have been successfully applied in local communities.

In the future, this guide can serve as a valuable resource not only for social protection professionals but also for all stakeholders committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children who are temporarily unable to live with their parents.

The guide was developed as part of the “PRO - Local Governance for People and Nature” program, jointly implemented by United Nations agencies in Serbia – UNOPS, UNICEF, UNFPA, and UNEP, in cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Serbia and with financial support from the Government of Switzerland.
