Technical Assistance for Local CSOs on the Path to Licensing for Social Protection Service Providers Started

Presentation of the strategic and normative framework, as well as the dynamics of the functioning of local self-governments in the context of procurement of social protection services from licensed service providers, were the main topics of the two-day workshop.

In addition to the presentation of the teams of the supported CSOs - the Association for Helping People with Autism from Kragujevac, the Rural Women's Association from Rekovac, the Society for Cerebral and Infantile Paralysis from Požarevac, the association Okular from Ćićevac, and the association of citizens Support for Smiles from Ćuprija, during the introductory training, arrangements were made regarding further individual support plans.

The workshop is part of the technical assistance to local CSOs, provided by the Programme with the support of the Government of Switzerland, with the aim to improve social inclusion at the local level by supporting diversification and pluralism of social services providers.

The Programme “PRO - Local Governance for People and Nature” is jointly implemented by United Nations agencies in Serbia - UNOPS, UNICEF, UNFPA and UNEP, in cooperation with the Serbian Government, and with financial support of the Government of Switzerland.
