Support to Local CSOs to Implement Socially Integrated Services

With Swiss Government support, the Programme “PRO - Local Governance for People and Nature” published two public calls to support local civil society organisations (CSOs) to implement socially integrated services.

The total budget of the public call for proposals is 273,000 EUR, for supporting at least 20 local projects for the provision of socially integrated services bringing together at least two of three thematic areas: social protection, education, and health.

The aim of the public call for project proposals is to improve access to rights and meet the needs of at least 2,000 citizens from vulnerable groups at the local level, focusing on Roma, especially those from informal settlements, people with disabilities, including children and youth with developmental difficulties, as well as persons accessing the right to support according to the Law on Social Protection.

The Programme particularly encourages applications by Roma associations, and additional points will be awarded if the project proposals contain a needs analysis of vulnerable groups at the local level. Also, the projects must include partnerships with the LSG or other relevant institution (Centre for Social Welfare, Health Centre, schools, etc.).

The PRO programme also published the call for technical assistance to at least 15 local CSOs to build their capacities with the aim of getting licensed as social protection service providers.

Both public calls are open until 9 June 2023, with CSOs from 99 towns and municipalities from Šumadija, West, East, and South Serbia eligible to participate.

Additional information on the terms, application process, and selection criteria are available at Public Calls section of Programme website.

The Programme “PRO - Local Governance for People and Nature” is jointly implemented by United Nations agencies in Serbia - UNOPS, UNICEF, UNFPA and UNEP, in cooperation with the Serbian Government, and with financial support of the Government of Switzerland.
