SUPPORT TO LOCAL SELF-GOVERNMENTS
IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SOCIAL PROTECTION SERVICES - EXTENDED UNTIL 22 NOVEMBER 2024
With the support of the Government of Switzerland, the Programme "PRO - Local Governance for People and Nature" will provide direct support for the implementation of Social Protection Services through two LOTs::
LOT 1: intended for 26 local self- governments (LS) that participated in the technical assistance program for the improvement of social protection: Arilje, Boljevac, Bor, Cacak, Cuprija, Dimitrovgrad, Ivanjica, Jagodina, Kraljevo, Krupanj, Loznica, Mali Zvornik, Nis , Pirot, Prijepolje, Prokuplje, Sjenica, Smederevo, Surdulica, Svilajnac, Topola, Trstenik, Valjevo, Velika Plana, Veliko Gradiste and Vlasotince.
The approximate budget for LOT 1 is $397,500, while the maximum amount per project is $26,500.
LOT 2: intended for 16 LS that participated in the technical assistance program for the establishment of inter-municipal cooperation in the provision of Social Protection Services: Prijepolje, Sjenica, Priboj, Pirot, Babusnica, Dimitrovgrad, Cuprija, Despotovac, Valjevo, Arilje, Trstenik, Krusevac, Kraljevo, Raska, Pozarevac and Veliko Gradiste.
The approximate budget for LOT 2 is $99,000, while the maximum amount per project is $49,500.
The topics of project proposals can be the improvement of existing or the introduction of new standardized or non-standardized services, whereby in any option it is necessary to apply an intersectoral approach within LOT 1, i.e. an intermunicipal approach within LOT 2.
The implementation of activities within the proposed interventions will last a maximum of 12 months, while the Social Protection Service must be provided for at least eight months.
The primary objective of this intervention is to improve the capacity of LS to establish or improve intersectoral and intermunicipal social protection services, ensuring accessibility, quality and sustainability for vulnerable groups eligible for support in accordance with the Law on Social Protection.
The public call was organized through a transparent and competitive process, and the selection of beneficiaries will be made by evaluating and ranking the submitted project proposals. More about the process and criteria for the selection of beneficiaries could be found in the description of the Public Call.
In order for interested LS to learn all the details of the public call - including the application method, project selection criteria and allowed costs, the PRO Programme will organize two informative sessions via the Internet according to the following schedule:
- Tuesday, October 8, starting at 10 a.m.
- Wednesday, October 9, starting at 10 a.m.
